DENSIQ Group continues the journey and it’s growth in order to become the complete supplier of leading sealing solutions to the industry.

The company Specialmaskiner AB was founded by a group of engineers from the shipbuilding industry in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Specialmaskiner AB supplies department publishes comprehensive packing recommendations for the paper and pulp industry as well as for ships. They quickly become popular aids to find the right way in the “packing jungle” that prevailed at the time.

Specialmaskiner AB is divided into two departments, Gaskets and Hoses.

DENSIQ Group is established. DENSIQ Group is a leading European producer and supplier of sealing technology. The group offers products within static, dynamic, and rotating sealing solutions and a broad range of connected services, including on-site machining and leak sealing during operation.

DENSIQ aquires Depac which is one of the technically leading manufacturers of mechanical seals.

DENSIQ aquires VM Kompensator – a manufacturer of flexible solutions for air and flue gas and has over 25 years of experience within this. With their current range of products that includes fabric, rubber and steel expansion joints, they contribute to the diversity of DENSIQ Group’s portfolio. Specialmaskiner AB adopts the name Specma Seals in 1998 and in 2011 Specma Seals aquires Denstech, thereby also adding sealing services within leak sealing and on-site machining. In 2017 Specma Seals becomes DENSIQ and aquires Hakaser Oy.

Specma AB, as we now call ourselves, presents as the first supplier in Sweden a complete asbestos-free program in the areas of box, flange and metal gaskets.

Specialmaskiner AB starts its own production of molded Grafoil rings for pumps and valves. Among the first assignments is the conversion from asbestos gaskets to molded Grafoil rings in the valve systems of all Nordic nuclear power plants.
